Preview of the 2021 European Championships in Aerobic Gymnastics in Pesaro (ITA)
On Friday competition will begin at Pesaro’s Vitrifrigo Arena. 161 senior and 164 junior gymnasts will be representing the 22 participating Federations.
Europe’s best junior and senior gymnasts in Aerobic Gymnastics will battle for the continental titles and you can follow it all live!
Who to watch?
Headlining the impressive field are recently crowned World Champions Ayse Onbasi (TUR), Miquel Mane (ESP), Tihomir Barotev, Antonio Papazov and Darina Pashova (BUL) and Gabriel Bocser, Madalina Cucu, David Gavrilovici, Mihai Popa and Daniiel Tavoc (ROU). The defending European Champions on the roster are Roman Semenov (RUS) and Daniel Bali, Fanni Mazacs and Balazs Farkas (HUN).

Competition format
These European Championships are for juniors (15 to 17 years old) and seniors (18+). Both compete in 6 categories: individual men (IM), individual women (IW), mixed pairs (MP), trios (TR), groups (GR) and Aero Dance (AD).
The qualifications determine the team standing and the finalists. The top 8 advance to the final with a maximum of 2 per country except for groups and Aero Dance where only 1 per country can qualify.
The team ranking list will be established by adding the 5 best rankings obtained during the qualifications in the following categories: Individual Men or Individual Women, Mixed pairs, Trios, Groups and Aero Dance. The Federation with the lowest number of points is declared Team European Champion.
