French star Eric Poujade passed away

At just 51 years old, Eric Poujade passed away last weekend. The French star was world-renowned for his work on pommel horse, earning the World silver medal twice, in 1994 and 1997, and the European crown in 1998 where the French men also took the team title. His career highlight came in 2000, when Poujade excelled in the Olympic final to return home with the silver medal.

After his retirement from competition, Poujade continued to pass on his gymnastics knowledge to the world, this time working for our long-term apparatus supplier Gymnova.

Our condolences go out to Eric’s family and friends, the Gymnova crew, and the entire French gymnastics community.
