In the first meeting of 2024, held in Zurich (SUI) on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 January, the Executive Committee of European Gymnastics, led by President Farid Gayibov (AZE), have made the following official decisions:
- Updates for the Accreditation Rules have been approved. The revised document will be published shortly, and will become valid on 1 June 2024.
- The first projects in the Strategy 2030, based on the pillars ‘Events’, ‘Knowledge & Safeguarding’, ‘Marketing & Communication’ and ‘Organisation & Finance’, have been approved.
- European Age Group Competitions in Aerobic Gymnastics have been added to the European Championships programme, starting in 2025. This Age Group will feature gymnasts between 12 and 14 years old.
- A call for hosts is open for the following European Gymnastics events: 2025 European Age Group Competitions and European Championships in Aerobic Gymnastics, 2026 European Championships in Rhythmic and Trampoline Gymnastics, 2026 European Gym for Life Challenge and EUROGYM, 2026 Golden Age Gymnastics Festival, 2026 TeamGym Europeans and the 2027 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
The next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Dublin (IRL) on 14 and 15 June 2024.
