On 31 January and 1 February, the Executive Committee of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) met for their first meeting of 2020 at the UEG Head Office in Lausanne (SUI). Led by President Farid Gayibov (AZE), the debates have resulted in the following official decisions and information:
- The 2022 European Championships in TeamGym have been awarded to the city of Luxemburg (LUX).
- The 2022 European Gym for Life Challenge and EUROGYM have been awarded to Neuchâtel (SUI).
- The 2023 European Championships in Artistic Gymnastics have been awarded to Antalya (TUR).
- The 2023 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics have been awarded to Moscow (RUS).
- The Accreditation Rules have been updated and approved. They will be published on our website shortly.
- The Jury of Appeal has been cancelled for European Age Group Competitions. In case of issues on site, the final decision will be taken by the Technical Committee President and UEG representatives on site or in the office.
- A call for hosts is open for the following UEG events: the 2022 European Championships in Trampoline, the 2022 Golden Age Gym Festival, the 2023 European Championships in Acrobatic and Aerobic Gymnastics, the 2023 Congress and the 2024 European Championships in Men’s Artistic, Women’s Artistic, Rhythmic and Trampoline Gymnastics and TeamGym.
The next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Vilnius (LTU) on 26 and 27 June 2020.
