Decisions of the Executive Committee - August 2019

On 30 and 31 August, the Executive Committee of the European Union of Gymnastics (UEG) met in Tbilisi (GEO) for the third meeting of 2019. Led by President Farid Gayibov (AZE), the debates have resulted in the following official decisions and information:

  • Changes to the Technical Regulations for 2020 & 2021 were discussed and submitted for voting. The approved regulations will be published on the UEG website under Rules and on the intranet.
  • The 2021 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics has been awarded to Varna (BUL).
  • The 2021 Congress has been awarded to the Portuguese Gymnastics Federation. It will be held in Albufeira in December 2021.
  • The 2022 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics has been awarded to Tel Aviv (ISR).
  • The dates for the 2020 Presidential Board and Executive Committee meetings have been confirmed. The June meetings will be held in Vilnius (LTU).
  • A call for hosts is open for the following UEG events: the 2022 European Championships in Trampoline and TeamGym, the 2022 European Gym for Life Challenge, EUROGYM and Golden Age Gym Festival and the 2023 European Championships in Artistic, Rhythmic, Acrobatic and Aerobic Gymnastics.  

The next Executive Committee meeting will be held in Sofia (BUL) on 14 November 2019 on the eve of the 2019 Congress.
