Boryana Kaleyn , Sofia Raffaeli, Daria Atamanov and Stiliana Nikolova best in qualification round

After two busy and long qualification days, we know the finallists for these Rhythmic Europeans!

Vice-European all-around Champion Boryana Kaleyn collected 103.600 for her three best routines, narrowly edging Italy’s Sofia Raffaeli, with the Bulgarian’s teammate Stiliana Nikolova in third. Counting all four apparatus, however, as it will be in tomorrow’s all-around final, Nikolova surpassed Raffaeli. Israel’s rising star Daria Atamanov placed fourth. These four ladies also claimed the top positions per apparatus. The 36.150 with hoop posted by Raffaeli turned out to be the highest score of the competition so far. Kaleyn topped the ball standings, and 2 of the 2020 junior European Champions proved their worth again today, Atamanov with clubs and Nikolova with ribbon.

Fresh for their World Cup success, the German duo Darja Varfolomeev and Margarita Kolosov delivered yet again under the Israeli sun, qualifying to the all-around final, plus two third place finished for Varfolomeev, with clubs and ribbon, and a final with hoop for Kolosov.

Two more honourable mentions: on her European senior debut France’s Helene Karbanov advances to the ribbon final and Greece’s Panagiota Lytra’s timely inquiry ensured her of the eight and final spot to the clubs final.

As you can see, we can expect an exciting battle for the medals in the coming days, and you never know who might shake the coconut tree.
