On the last day of the 27th European Championships in Trampoline, Double Mini-Trampoline and Tumbling, Sochi’s Iceberg Palace hosted the individual and synchronised finals.
Host Russia claimed the majority of the gold medals today, highlighted by the Double Mini-Trampoline victories of Aleksandr Odintsov and Galina Begim, Tumbling gold for Vadim Afanasev, Trampoline glory for Iana Lebedeva and synchro honours for Anna Kornetskaya and Susana Kochesok. Tachina Peeters clinched the European title in Tumbling, a well-deserved reward for the excellent Belgian who finished fourth in many major international events. After winning synchro gold together, Aleh Rabtsau beat compatriot and 2016 Olympic Champion Uladzislau Hancharou by a few tenths in men’s trampoline. Lea Labrousse and Marine Jurbert wrote history for France, winning silver and bronze respectively while Turkey celebrated its first individual medal, bronze in junior Trampoline for Elif Colak.
Congratulations to all medallists!
