The junior apparatus finals turned into the ‘Ana Barbosu’ show as she added all four apparatus titles to the gold already won in the team and all-around! What an incredible display by the 14-year-old Romanian. Only on beam, Barbosu did not win outright, she tied with Hungary’s Greta Mayer with a score of 13.100. The higher execution score determined the winner, so Barbosu moved to the top of the podium again. On vault, Valentina Georgieva (BUL) earned the silver medal ahead of Ukraine’s Daria Lyska. Croatia’s Sara Sulekic grabbed the silver on bars with the delighted Derin Tanriyasukur (TUR) in third place. Barbosu was joined on the podium by her teammates Andreea Preda who won bronze on beam and Maria Ceplinschi, silver medallist on floor. Greta Mayer was the only other gymnast that mounted the podium twice. After her silver on beam, she also won the bronze on floor.
